Hematite is the principal iron ore, and Nigeria's deposits at Itakpe and across Kogi State were the intended feedstock for the country's steel ambitions. It is a bulk commodity, which means the economics live and die on grade, silica content and haulage distance.

Grade, Silica, and the Cost of the Road
Iron ore is a tonnage business. A deposit is only viable if the iron percentage is high enough, the contaminants are low enough, and the route to the buyer is short enough to survive the freight.
Grade Before Volume
A large low grade body is a liability. We establish iron percentage and contaminant levels before scaling any operation.
Beneficiation Planned
Run of mine ore is upgraded by crushing, screening and magnetic separation to lift grade toward a saleable specification.
Haulage Costed In
Freight is treated as part of the deposit economics from the start, not discovered later.
