Garba Kabiru, FCNA, PhD, serves Inland Drills Limited as Finance Manager, bringing over two decades of public financial management and reform experience to the company’s finance function.
He holds a PhD in Accounting & Finance from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (FCNA).
A career built in public financial management
Kabiru joined the Zamfara State Civil Service in December 2004 and rose through the accounting cadre to become Director, Programmes and Financial Reform, at the Ministry of Finance, and a member of the State Treasury Team. Across two decades of service to the Zamfara State Government, his work centred on public-sector accounting, financial reporting, fiscal accountability, and institutional reform.
That combination, professional accounting qualification, doctoral research, and years of hands-on public-sector practice, is what he now brings to Inland Drills’ finance function.
Why this matters for Inland Drills
Mining and exploration operations generate financial records that need the same discipline Kabiru practiced in government: transparent reporting, accountable record-keeping, and financial administration that can withstand scrutiny. As Finance Manager, his mandate is to bring that same standard of fiscal accountability and institutional rigour to the company’s operations, from site-level cost tracking to company-wide financial reporting.
His appointment reflects a broader principle at Inland Drills: building a management team with proven, credentialed experience in the specific disciplines the company depends on.
